GGDUEL ("we", "us", "our") operates the website and services available at https://ggduel.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Service. By using GGDUEL, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
1.1 You provide directly
- Account data: username, email address, display name, profile details, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in (including via Google or email/password through our authentication provider).
- Wallet address: public Solana wallet addresses you connect for deposits, stakes, payouts, and related on-chain activity. We do not store your private keys or seed phrases.
- Gameplay & duel data: games selected, duel parameters, in-game links or identifiers you submit (e.g. friend links, tags where applicable), messages or content you post on the platform, and similar information needed to operate duels and leaderboards.
- Support & communications: information you send when you contact us or report an issue.
1.2 Automatically collected
- Device & usage: IP address, browser type, device type, general location (derived from IP), pages viewed, timestamps, and diagnostic data to secure and improve the Service.
- Cookies & similar technologies: we and our partners may use cookies, local storage, and analytics tools (e.g. Vercel Analytics) to measure traffic and performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
2. How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account and authenticate you.
- To operate duels, tournaments, rankings, payouts, refunds, and dispute workflows.
- To process transactions and communicate about your activity (e.g. notifications, emails you opt into).
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
- To analyze usage, improve features, and develop the Service (including aggregated or de-identified analytics where appropriate).
3. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)
Where applicable law requires a "legal basis", we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Service you request); legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), balanced against your rights; consent where we ask for it (e.g. certain marketing or non-essential cookies); and legal obligation where the law requires processing.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service providers who assist us (e.g. hosting, authentication, database, email delivery, analytics, customer support), subject to contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- Blockchain networks: information you attach to on-chain transactions is public by nature of the network; we cannot control third-party indexing or explorers.
- Legal & safety: when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the Service.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required by law.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Duel and transaction records may be kept longer where required for legal, accounting, or anti-fraud purposes. When retention ends, we delete or anonymize data where feasible.
6. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk and should protect your credentials and wallet.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact us (see below). We may verify your request as permitted by law.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
10. Third-party services & games
The Service may reference or integrate with third-party games, platforms, or APIs (e.g. game publishers, streaming platforms). Their collection and use of data is governed by their own policies. GGDUEL is not responsible for third-party practices.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance unless law requires otherwise.
12. Contact
For privacy-related requests or questions, contact us via our contact page. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
This policy is provided for transparency. It does not constitute legal advice. For jurisdiction-specific obligations, consult qualified counsel.
